About Studio Sistine

Jacqueline Kessler & Cat O'Brien

Studio Sistine is a New York–based interior design studio founded by Cat O'Brien and Jacqueline Kessler, whose creative partnership has developed over nearly a decade of working together across residential, multifamily, and hospitality projects.

With complementary perspectives and a shared design sensibility, Cat and Jacqueline approach each project as an opportunity to create interiors that feel considered, layered, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them. Their work balances timeless materials and thoughtful detailing with moments of individuality, resulting in spaces that feel refined without being overly prescribed.

Together, they bring experience spanning millions of square feet and a wide range of project types—from private residences and boutique environments to large-scale residential developments and hospitality spaces. Their process is collaborative and highly considered, grounded in an understanding of architecture, proportion, materiality, and the practical realities of how a space will ultimately be lived in.

Studio Sistine was formed as a natural evolution of their longstanding collaboration, bringing their individual experience and shared body of work under one studio. The result is a practice rooted in trust, curiosity, and the belief that the most compelling interiors feel both distinctive and enduring.
